Common Problems:

Some common problems our users have reported are listed below along with the resolution of the problem. Please look to see if the problem you are having is in this list. If not, please call technical support at 888-627-0495 or email us at techsupport@napco.com and we will be happy to assist you.

1. Can not get to and click on the "I agree" button on the User Agreement window.
Fix: The BiBnet.com site is designed for best viewing with Desktop area set to 800 by 600 pixels, with Font size = Small Fonts. Check the Settings tab under Display Properties to see what your system is set to and make the appropriate modifications. Some users may have to restart their machines before the settings take affect.

2. When I try to login I get JavaScript errors.
Fix: Please make sure you are using Netscape Navigater version 4.72 or higher, or MS Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher. Some javascripts used on BibNet.com need these versions.

3. When I use BiBnet.com, the User Agreement keeps popping up.
Fix: In order to use BiBnet.com, your browser must accept "cookies". These are small files with pieces of information that BiBnet uses to identify who is using the service. The cookie file tells BiBnet.com that you have agreed to the Users Agreement document. To set your browser to accept cookies:

Netscape 4.7+ users; On the Menu bar, select Edit, then Preferences. Click on the "Advanced" Category (at the bottom). In the lower part of the window you will see Cookies. Click on the radio button that says "Accept all cookies".

Internet Explorer version 6.0 users; On the menu bar, select Tools, then Internet Options. Click on the Privacy Tab, then the Edit button at the bottom of the screen (see image below). In the new window under "Address of web site:", enter www.bibnet.com then press the Allow button to the right. Press the OK button, then the OK button on the prior screen. Close Internet Explorer and restart your machine.

Internet Explorer version 5.5 and below users; On the Menu bar, select Tools, then Internet Options. Click on the Security Tab, then "Custom Level.." button (see image below). Scroll down to where the heading is "Cookies". In both the "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" section and the "Allow per-session cookies (not stored)" section, click on the Enable radio button.
